Cal's new home on the internet

I'm slowly learning to code in order to build a place on the internet that feels like a habitat for me. I've had a newsletter since 2020, and while it's allowed me to connect with readers, I find everything from the format to the social platform to the company that props it all up repugnant. I've been itching to return to more traditional blogging on my own website, where I don't track traffic or "restacks" or likes, and I simply write whatever is on my mind in the present moment. So that's what this is. So far it's been so much more rewarding than trying to stay relevant on social media.

My newsletter is Sex Weather Climate Death on Substack, if you're looking for that. I send it out less than once a month. If you want to know about upcoming readings and new publications, you can sign up for it. But if you're looking for more frequent writing of mine, head over to the blog tab on this site where I write Instar: a blog about life's transitions.

If you're looking for smoke and mold, a journal with an expiration date that publishes nature writing, broadly defined, by trans and Two-Spirit writers, click here. If you want to learn more about my new publishing and teaching ecosystem, visit celiumlit.net.
